This is the list for collectives, individuals and organizers of the ABC Network. Collectives and individuals committed to building the Anarchist Black Cross Network and who express agreement with the ABCN New Draft Proposal are encouraged to subscribe. You will be asked for an introduction to join the list.

abc-ern

The Emergency Response Network was initiated by Chicago ABC in 1989 as a means of acting on prisoner emergencies and action alerts. The ERN was carried on by Nightcrawlers/Bronx ABC in the mid-1990s and is now affiliated with the ABC Network. Situations calling for some sort of emergency response by non-prisoners range from hungerstrikes, lockdowns, punitive transfers where regular contact with a prisoner is lost up to and including major incidents like hostage-taking or take-overs. The ERN also includes mail, phone, fax, email and direct action on behalf of Political Prisoners and Prisoners of War, political trials/prosecutions, criminal justice issues; action solidarity and more, with a global focus.

abc-friends

The purpose of the abc-friends list is to serve as a place where those supportive of of involved in criminal justice and anti-prison movements and struggles can discuss ways to expand and build on our movements in a radical, anti-authoritarian fashion. Those involved in campaigns other than prisoners (e.g. anti-poverty, feminist, Third World/indigenous/people of color, etc.) are welcome to join the list. NOTE: this is a discussion and news list and has open membership. Subscribe and post wisely.
